The Autism Solution Center, Inc. (ASC) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization being developed to address an unmet, ongoing need within our communities for autism therapy, support services, research and other assistance. There is currently no other facility in existence worldwide that addresses all of the autism-related issues proposed by the Autism Solution Center, Inc., under one roof and at *no cost. These desperately needed services are being sought by the multitudes, hoping for assistance and answers, yet finding themselves disappointed with the lack of resources currently available. Those who are blessed enough to find assistance, are soon disenchanted with the astronomical financial requirements to sustain the necessary regiments.

Autism has reached epidemic proportions with an estimated 1 in 90 individuals being diagnosed with this disability. When all Autism Spectrum Disorders are added to the equation, those figures rise significantly. The Autism Solution Center, Inc. is virutally guaranteed success, simply based on the sheer number of individuals desperate for answers, and willing to do whatever is necessary to afford health for their children. This usually places them in the clutches of the unaffordable specialists, who in turn, still offer limited hope.

We hope to change that and make autism assistance and support something available and No Cost for anyone in need.

Though there are many effective, research-proven methods of successful treatment today, the information is not widely disseminated. Even with extensive education, research, and networking on the part of the parents, a newly diagnosed individual will often fall through the cracks of the medical community in the realm of receiving appropriate referrals, assistance, therapies, and family support.

There are also numerous "alternative" therapies available, that are currently not endorsed by the medical community. We feel that many of these modalities offer excellent anecdotal evidence and great promise. The lacking ingredient, in most cases, is sufficient research and medically approved studies. We intend to conduct the necessary studies to either prove or disprove the items that fall into current controversy. If there are treatments available that offer promising results in the realm of autism spectrum disorders, we feel it is our responsibility to investigate, research and provide the necessary evidence (or lack of) through studies, to prove efficacy.

Parents have far too long looked to the physicians for all the answers, confident that they could provide all the current, up-to-date information on available treatments and the proper course of action. In reality, it is impossible for pediatricians to be experts on every topic. Often, autism is one of the less studied areas of expertise. Most pediatricians have less than 1 hour of training on autism spectrum disorders during their entire schooling in medicine. Now, with the new age of the Internet, more parents are taking their family health into their own hands. In the process, many are also discovering new, highly successful, and more appropriate interventions that have slipped by the radar screen of the medical community at large. No more are the days of the all-knowing physician and the uneducated, trusting patient! We are striving for an environment where parents work along side with the physicians, in order to develop treatment programs to best suit the intricacies of each individual. No one knows a child like the parent. We feel strongly that parents have a great deal to offer in the planning and implementation of an effective autism treatment program.

In the realm of autism, those touched by this devastating disorder have been forced into the position of researcher, diagnostician, therapist and advocate. Insurance companies have more or less banned the coverage of autism spectrum disorders, leaving the fiscal responsibility to the “system”, who in turn pushes the bulk of the responsibility (fiscally and otherwise) back on the family.

Contrary to popular belief, AUTISM IS TREATABLE. With appropriate early intervention, preferably before the age of age 3-4, the vast majority of individuals with regressive autism have the opportunity to become indistinguishable from their peers, eliminating the need for ongoing disability care and supports. We believe this can be the rule and not the exception. These are odds we cannot afford to ignore. When left untreated, these same individuals continue to withdraw and become unable to function in a typical environment without supports. This eventually pushes a completely unnecessary financial burden back on the “system”. Not only is there an enormous long-term financial responsibility (4+ million throughout the life of EACH individual) that will have to be addressed if left untreated, there is also the bright light of equally great human potential that grows dimmer with each untreated day. AUTISM IS TREATABLE. In many of these cases, recovery is attainable. In others, there is a worse case scenario of marked improvement, if not more.

Now is the time these therapies and additional help should be available to any seeking assistance. The primary goal of the Autism Solution Center, Inc. is to make sure this priceless information, assistance, and treatment is available to anyone affected by autism and in need of assistance, and at *No-Cost.

Our secondary goal is to make sure that everyone who utilizes the center has the opportunity to hear about and find hope in the person of Jesus Christ. As we offer hope through treatment assistance to individuals affected by autism and their families, we also offer hope that shattered lives will again find purpose, satisfaction, and joy. It is to this great service we have been called.

The long-term goal of the Autism Solution Center, Inc. is to provide a *No-Cost, one-stop-shop for all autism-related needs. We plan to open a minimum of one *NO COST autism treatment, education, assistance and research facility in each of the 50 US states and abroad in other countries. (* After 7+ years of providing NO COST services and assistance to families, we recently had to begin charging a very minimal fee for our services. The fees are still a fraction of what you would pay anywhere to receive the same services, and we hope to return to our NO COST vision again in the near future, when the economy improves and funding increases. Until that time, we are doing everything we can to offer as much assistance as possible for the least amount possible, to keep our doors open.)
